“OH What is that Perfume you are Wearing?”

Hi Friends,
I’m often asked, what fragrance is great for the wedding day? I always say, find an oil base fragrance that is light and easy on the nose. An oil base fragrance will last the entire day, even with your adrenalin glands in super hype mode. You will tend to perspire more and it may be hard to find the time to replenish your fragrance. I’m loving Leila Lou right now, not only for the wedding day… but I have been applying daily as I’m literally stopped and asked what fragrance are you wearing? It is a small bottle that will last a long time because you need so little. I catch myself smelling my wrist all day LOL!  If you are tempted you can find it on my e-store…delicious I say! xox Mindy

Can’t resist a cookie!

Hi Friends,
Last week the only thing I found at the Long Beach Flea Market was some Tagalong Girls! I couldn’t resist buying some Girl Scout Cookies! How cute are they? xox Mindy

Aloha from Maui

Hi Friends, Thought I would give you some fun snippets from our

Destination Wedding  here at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua. A beautiful hotel that will help us pull off 5 events for this wonderful Bride and Groom and family!
First thing we did when we arrived was to check off the 60 boxes that were sent over, 6 suitcases and 3 containers of decor items. We brought over our team of 59 which makes it so much easier…we often do not have that opportunity and we hire local but this island is buzzing and we couldn’t find all the vendors we would need for this special event. The client also had 3 of the most lovely ladies helping with the welcome gifts..The client actually bought all of the items and it was just amazing…The bag was from Cat Studios and had an embroidered map of Hawaii…cute cute cute!

and meet the wonderful women who helped to make them spectacular,

Mery, Mara and Gloria

It is always good to wait to have the bags delivered as you will find the guests often change their rooms and your bags sit lost in the un-

used guest suite. We used picture frames for the itineraries for the week.

and organized all the goodies like on an assembly line so nothing got left out.

remember that an “Out of Town Bag” or “Welcome Gift” is somewhat like a “Thank You” for coming… it should be filled with items so your guest does not have to use their mini bar or spend extra money on snacks.

The client also wanted a “Turn Down Gift” every night. A “Turn Down Gift” is a little surprise that is left on your guests bed each night…

The one for tonight was a Pineapple Ornament

I made a little poem each night to accompany the gift

We are so happy you are here with us

Being together in Hawaii is an added plus!

The Ornament is for your tree next year

We hope you’ll remember us, and the your time spent here!

(I used “here” twice bummer LOL)

More to come… enjoy the pics Aloha xox Mindy

Ted Loves TV!

Hi Friends,
Last weekend we had a great time planning a fun Bar Mitzvah for a great kid named Ted…He loves television so we came up with Ted TV for his theme.
I have been trying to add some new texture and dimensions to our events. We found some fabulous vintage televisions for our entrance to the party. They also housed the seating cards.

We even found oversized remote control for the cocktail centerpieces

The kids got to challenge a professional ping pong player so ofcourse we decked out the paddles and table

Huge banners decorated the walls where we superimposed Ted interviewing stars from the past and his favorite shows today

The centerpieces looked like vintage TV sets and the show playing was their table name. We finished them off with beautiful flowers.

Instead of chair covers we had embroidered hoodies made to place over the ballroom chairs…the logo as you can see was used everywhere :) The hats sat on that table and were immediately worn by all.

Chocolates of course for the table…

I couldn’t get a great picture of the stage but it was totally framed as TV and the band and DJ played inside of it….very fun!

An Ice luge and of course cupcakes were a few more places we branded the logo

This was the fourth kid and the last bar mitzvah for this family…I was honored to be able to plan all 4… a wonderful finale for an amazing kid.

Enjoy the pics…xox mindy
