Wedding of Emily and Jordan

Hi Friends, Excited to share this beautiful wedding with you!  The grooms last name… Bernstein so the couple had the great idea of making “out of town bags” that look like  the famous Bloomingdale’s big brown shopping bag! The groom is also from New York so of course, I love the tie-in! Nicole and Cassie from our office assembled and delivered them with a smile.

Love the rehearsal dinner seating chalkboards. The couple wanted to share pictures of their childhood and fun memories of their ”dating” days se we incorporated framed pics around the beautiful flowers.

The flowers arrive ( one of my favorite things)

Just when you think you’ve seen it all! The Brides mom ( and  now I can call her my friend!) insisted on helping Mark’s Garden with the Chuppah! Yes you read it here…right when she was suppose to be having her hair and make-up done she grabbed some greens got on the ladder and left her talents right where her daughter was going to be saying “I DO” ….I just love her! and so did the guys at the garden…they appreciated the help :)

Crazy about using boxwood hedge for cocktail centerpieces. Amy from our office did a fabulous job pulling all the elements together!

The Mixture of Large and Small Capice Spheres hung above the dancefloor.

Added a large bar in the back of the ballrroom.

The Bride brought wonderful pictures of inspiration of what she wanted for the tables.  Mirror tops on all the tables. Camilion chairs with comfortable criss cross pattern.

Mark made these gorgeous acrylic candle holders for the different sized tables. They helped to add height to the large ballrrom ceilings.

The Cake before and the finshed product!

We re-purposed the seating card table to set-up the party favors for the guests to take when the leave.

Again a great idea from the Bride…a box of tall matches was the party favor as the guests left..

.to remind them of the “Warmth” of the evening! Enjoy xox Mindy

Wedding of Amy and Sean

Hi Friends!

Last Sunday we were back at one of our favorite resorts the Grand Del Mar! Of course the wonderful Paige Levey spoiled us rotten! What a gorgeous day it was…The Bride really wanted to incorporate her favorite color purple into her wedding but we decided to save the color for the reception…leaving the ceremony in traditional whites and using alot of greens and moss. Irene from our office did an outstanding job putting all the concepts together. When you have such a beautiful backdrop it is easy to just enhance what already exists.

I’m loving this Petal tablecloth we used for the seating cards from Resource One.

Marks Garden did a crazy amazing job on the florals!

This exquisite cloth Irene used for the cocktail tables was from La Tavola.

Not always great to mix linen companies but if you got to have

it I say go for it!

The Crystal mini fixtures in the tall centerpieces actually lit up so as the guests

came in the room was truly glowing!

By putting the acrylic pedestals in between some of the tables filled some of the empty spaces in the room.

Plum linens and matching matte satin napkins (love tone on tone!) was so beautiful with the white and lavender florals and candles sitting on top..

Just one simple black calla sat on each napkin. I could do a whole event around just these leaves!

A lovely table for the “sweethearts!”

enjoy xoxo Mindy

Most Ridiculous Wedding Event Ever is back!

The Wedding of Julie and Paul

Hi Friends,
I simply love this wedding! The Resort at Pelican Hill is truly a beautiful location. The ocean, amazing chefs, luxurious rooms, the best Bridal Suite I’ve seen, EVERYONE who works there is superb, but the one thing that Pelican Hills has that no one else has is GEORGE NICKELS! We just love him! As the head of Weddings he truly made our job so uncomplicated and breezy. To all my fellow event planners if you have an opportunity to visit this resort ask for George…there is no way you wouldn’t have a successful event…ok now on to Julie and Paul”s Wedding! There were so many elements that I loved about this wedding. Mark’s Garden designed incredible florals. Revelry helped design many elements for the various areas…The ceremony in creams and whites. Three different chair covers, LOVE the crystal lamps propped on acrylic bases that were interspersed between the aisle and the chairs. Julie our bride, was very involved and gave us a picture of inspiration for the aisle…I love the aisle…the reception was all red and black. Handmaid Magnolia Trees, 2 long rectangular tables each set for 35. mixture of covered chairs and ghost chairs. Two beautiful chair covers for the Bride and Groom…After dinner a fabulous black and white after party. DJ Tendaji rocked the music and everyone danced for 2 hours straight! Cigar Roller and color coordinated candy shoppe made the late night fun. The room was  full of love … what a wonderful beginning to a fabulous life together! Enjoy the pics! xoxox Mindy

Lehr and Black designed the invites and all the fun printed items…

This is what the magnolia tree looks like before all the branches are actually stapled on

The Bride’s Shoes and her Daughters shoes! How cute!

When we showed Julie choices for ceremony chair covers I asked her which one she liked. She had the best answer ever….she said “Can I have them all? The perfect answer!

Champagne Crystals mixed in with the fabric. When the sun hit it is sparkled ever so slightly

I almost didn’t want the Wedding Party to walk on the aisle. I just wanted to stare at it forever…something magical about this aisle…

A patio off the dance area for the after party

This chaircover so pretty under the evening sky.

The cake was stunning sitting on the handmade floral tablecloth.

The pastry chef at the resort did an outstanding  job on copying Julie’s inspiration drawing she gave  them.

The cake topper was handmade by the Bride herself!

A Great Way to Start the Celebrations

Hi Friends,
Sometimes when planning a clients wedding I am fortunate to become close with some of the members of the family! LaLa’s Aunt and Uncle had a family backyard celebration at their house on the outskirts of New York. They invited me and Amy to the celebration. I was hesitant at first because we still had a lot of work to do before the big day but Lala insisted. I’m so glad she did! I truly felt this was one of the warmest, loving, happy families I have been around in a long time! Their love and happiness spilled all over this party! From the minute the car pulled up you felt the beat of the music. We barely got through all the guests dancing and laughing and jumping around on the driveway-dancefloor area!
The warm welcome, hugs and introductions to everyone could not be outdone by the delicious homemade Puerto Rican buffet. The decor was lovely, the weather perfect and even lightning bugs in the trees were magical!
(we don’t have those in Los Angeles!) This was the beginning of a fabulous weekend! After I experienced the coming together of these two families I knew it was going to be a fantastic, heartfelt and memorable weekend! It truly was and I feel like I made friends for a lifetime! Enjoy…xox Mindy
