Can’t resist a cookie!

Hi Friends,

Last week the only thing I found at the Long Beach Flea Market was some Tagalong Girls! I couldn’t resist buying some Girl Scout Cookies! How cute are they?

Nick and Amanda Barnett’s Wedding

Hi Friends,
Just posted a wonderful wedding we planned at the Grand Del Mar. Nick and Amanda were amazing to work with…Nick plays for the Greenbay Packers and now after the wedding Amanda plays with us when she is in town! Enjoy the video, which by the way was done by Vidicam Productions as a next day edit 310-205-6004. We showed this the next day and the guests were in shock that we had it done so quickly. If you have any questions about their wedding I will be sure to answer. Oh and stay tuned as one of my favorite wedding magazines will be publishing this wedding very soon. You can also find the video under weddings in the event portfolio section at www.mindyweiss.com xoxox Mindy

There was DANCING at this Bat Mitzvah!

Hi Friends,
Last weekend we planned a cute Bat Mitzvah for a 13 year old, who loves to dance. She enjoys Ballet and Modern Dance so we incorporated that into her theme for the Bat Mitzvah.  We had silhouettes of the young lady made into the centerpieces in her favorite colors of pink and purple. We added colorful flowers at the base to finish them off. I love how we tied the napkin like a ballet shoe lace and the cloth was a geometric  black and white pattern. The stage treatment mimicked the invitation that used flowers and we cut out images of her to add to the background. We customized some light gobos to decorate the walls to tie everything together….enjoy the pics xox Mindy

Ended on the LOVLIEST day of the week

Hi Friends,
Here is our last event of this Maui Wedding Week. Valentines day, a perfect way to end the week! We went with turquoise and red for our color theme. We even used a fun box of conversation hearts for each napkin. The colors were sure to pep up the very tired guests! Enjoy the pics and get ready for some more blogs and I hope great ideas! xox Mindy

Time to Celebrate

Hi Friends, If you have been following the Maui Wedding we nearing the end…
The reception well all I can say it lasted until 5am a lot longer than I lasted :)
I’m crazy about the seating card floral piece that Cindy Smith from Marks Garden designed! Not only did it house the cards but it got the guests excited even before they entered the reception ballroom.

Onto the dinner…we kept everything white until the doors opened to beautiful shades of purple…my pictures are during set-up and just a few after…I had to get into work mode but I will most definitely have this entire wedding on my site when the photographer is ready.

BEFORE

The client bought really cute ballet Isotoners for the women to change into when their feet gave out from dancing…and boy could they dance!

Just when they thought the party was over we guided the guest downstairs to what we named the Buddha Bar and the DJ began!

We served breakfast at 2am and you would never have thought these guests ate dinner. We serve traditional Mexican chilaquiles (I know I botched the spelling of that!) and the party went on…We brought in a Buddha statue that my camera did NO justice to. Brandon lit the room to perfection and behind the buddha the background continued to change, it was awesome! Another favorite of mine is Revelry’s new high top cocktail table. Black acrylic box with a Chandelier glowing inside..Love that! The guests received as a turn down gift a silver heart with a mother of pearl lid filled with white jordan almonds. The almonds are for luck and fertility!

Can you imagine the baby shower after this fun week of parties? Enjoy the rest of the pics and I’ll tell you about the brunch tomorrow..xox Mindy
