Fun Props that Always seem to add Fun not Cheese to the Party!

Hi Friends!
Sometimes clients ask me to add a fun detail or something for their guests to talk about. Tiaras and Fedoras have been very successful  as a giveaway to guests at some of my events…  This is fun for a  birthday, anniversary or any holiday celebration…if for a wedding then this is cute for an after dinner give-away. february 18 003february 18 010february 18 012february 18 060Don’t assume that the Tiarras are for the women

and the Fedoras for the men..often, you will find the men stealing the Tiara right off their woman’s head! They also make great props for the photo booth! I’m not a huge fan of boas and clown hats but there is something nostalgic about a Tiara and a Fedora…Whether you hand them out at the beginning of an event or when the party starts getting interesting or even as a parting gift…they will be talked about…I could have chosen the Tiara but who am I kidding? A Princess isn’t the one at the end of the party whose packing up the linens and counting napkins. But hey I did take one home to wear around the house :) Enjoy xox Mindy

Hermes Inspired

DSC03403[1]Hi Friends I was having lunch today with a friend who was wearing the new hermes scarf-bracelet…I got to thinking of a cool way to bring that look into the wedding world…I didn’t have my camera with me (so I googled for a picture) but I love the idea of the simplicity of a vintage or beautiful piece of lace from the wedding gown for a wrist tie. Even a piece of fabric that compliments the gown would look so chic as a piece of jewelry. I had a piece of lace in the office to give you a sample not great but you get the idea.  If you feel it is too plain I rummaged through my vintage jewels and found a broach to add to the lace. Just a fun budget conscience idea I borrowed from a chic paris designer :) xox Mindyhermes wrist scarfDSC03404[1]

Beauty on the Inside and Out!

Hi Friends,
I’m so blessed to receive wonderful little samples of amazing products and inspirations. I really enjoy all the surprises and try to blog about as many as I can! This special product I was gracefully sent not only is beautiful but I tried it and all I can say is ahhhhhh and ohhhhh! This item is called Tatcha. Japanese Blotting Papers.
“Authentic Aburatorigami originally created for gold leaf artisans discovered be Geisha in the 1800″s for it’s skin benefits. All-natural. Fragrance free, handmade and suitable for ALL skin types.”

I really thought that I didn’t have any extra oils on my skin but after using these for about 2 weeks I swear I can see a difference (at my age I notice any change!) All my event planner friends out there…you how we are getting dressed in bathroom stalls right before the event and for the gals, our make-up that we applied in the morning looks awful well I threw a few of these  blotting papers in my bag and it almost looked like I applied more foundation…but not!  Just took away that tired “I look exhausted”   look :) hmmmmmm
Perfect for a Bride and the Bridal Party…Hey my hubby has stolen them out of my purse…your skin feels so soft.
The package is small enough for your Bridal purse or handbag. The artwork on the package I just love too…

Homemade for the Wedding day

DSC03351DSC03353
Hi friends! I just love when a family member or friend makes a homemade gift for one of the weddings I coordinated. I love this ring pillow that was knitted by a close family friend. Not only was it done in a classic style but this is a gift that no other bride and groom will have and will be kept as a family heirloom for years to come. A sweet gift of love from a good friend.
