Hi Friends,
As a mom you always wonder if you have done a good job raising your kids. Hey we all make mistakes, and some of us (I wonder who?) work way too much. But, then the call comes…”Hey Mom I bought us tickets to see The Pee Wee Herman Show, can you take a Saturday off?” YES! Ahhhhh there it is the moments you will remember forever! Jordan and I use to get up Saturday mornings and run to the TV to turn on The Pee Wee Herman Show. We would laugh, and, try to laugh like him…we would imitate the hilarious characters. We collected all the toys and videos. I had no idea what kind of show this was going to be, but I knew I would dress for the event. Yes when I got in my son’s car with my red bow tie, well it didn’t even faze him…The black and white spectator
shoes however gave him a chuckle (hey they were an investment and very fashion forward for spring and fall!)…We had great seats and when the show started and we realized that it was actually the same show as we watch growing up (Jordan 7 years old and me, well that is not important!) The set was just as I remembered but as an event planner I looked at it as inspiration. The colors, shapes and lighting had me thinking of new designs. I started laughing the minute he hit the stage! We had a great time. Laughing uncontrollably felt wonderful…being with my son well the BEST! Enjoy the pics…xox Mindy oh also “I know you are but what am I?”

2010 Shoe Trend
Hi Friends,
If you know me you know I have a Shoe Obsession!…I was searching the web and the design houses and asking my brides what shoes they are buying for their wedding day. The pictures below are the most talked about ones. Seems like the colored shoe trend is not as popular. I found out the brides are opting for the white or ecru color palette. What shoe did you buy for your wedding day? Love to know

Bring back the "Going Away Outfit"

Hi Friends,
Hope you are having a nice weekend! Sorry I disappeared for a week but I’m working hard on my new e-store and re-vamping our website. Big Things ahead for the wedding and party world…
So I’m loving all the new little WHITE dresses popping up in all the wedding design houses. Amsale, Oscar de la Renta, so many wonderful designers!
I’m finding that alot of my brides are now keeping their wedding gown on til the end of the evening. What I would LOVE to bring back is the “Going Away Outfit”. When all my friends and I got married we didn’t change our outfit to continue dancing but we actually changed our outfit for the departure. The last dance took place in the Going Away Outfit, the groom even changed out of his tuxedo and into a suit or nice pants and a button down shirt. I loved “The Exit!”
But now with the popularity of the “After Party” the last people to leave are usually the Bride and Groom! No send off …I really can’t wait for the old tradition to become new again…The guests line up on either sides to make an aisle and the couple runs through as the guest toss, petals or at that time it was rice…the decorated car was waiting at the end of the line and off they would go…the guests then went back in to dance or say goodbye to the host and hostess…
Did you notice that every designer is loving designing for Bridal! Wedding fashion is so important not only for trends , it even lends itself for giving us inspiration for decor for an entire event. The little white dress has so many uses now engagement parties, showers, rehearsal dinner, wedding, brunch. Enjoy the pics of some cute Going Away Outfits

Weddings/Fashion Golden Globes
Hi Friends,
Watching the Golden Globes and loving the colors I saw on the beautiful actresses… This helps make trends for our weddings in fashion and accessories. I loved the color purple on Sandra Bullock! I loved the soft pink of Emily Blunt. Fergie wore a gorgeous lavender chiffon gown beaded at the waist. I saw a theme of colors where most of the woman were in pinks, purples, nudes…I love award season. They really inspire me and my head starts churning out ideas for linens, and color combos and bridesmaid dress accents…Is there anything I can look at and not think of a wedding or party? I don’t think so…enjoy the pics. Mindy
