LOVE in the New Year!
The Place Where Everyone Gathers…
The Kitchen….we had a wonderful holiday party and all rooms were decorated but where did everyone end up… the Kitchen. The center island became the focus for beautiful flowers. We used all of the clients vases with a variety of red and white flowers. The element of fresh fruit and a pop of color adds a wonderful texture..The Christmas Tree was in the background, holiday music playing on the Ipod and great conversation by all. "Brightened" my day
Thinking I needed some color in my Kitchen… went to my favorite place to shop…a flea market of course…I found this collection of stretched vintage glass vases. I fell in love with the colors and the way the artist stretch the glass. I especially loved the way the light fills the color when the sun hits. The colored flower in in the yellow vase is inspiring. Imagine a 12 foot rectangular table with these vases in all different sizes and shapes going down the center. For a fun birthday celebration a variety of colored flowers. But for an elegant dinner party find one color that would coordinate in all of them..I prefer color but all white or ivory is always chic.

Something to Remember in December
Happy Night before Christmas Friends,
I know I should be showing more weddings and I will… What a year of blessings! I think there are so many amazing blogs available now. I not only get inspiration from them but I actually feel all the event planners, designers, photographers, videographers, wedding gown designers, lighting techs, make up and hair experts, chefs, oh and of course my idol Martha, and so many more people who make it possible to create dreams for our brides and grooms…
we are a family….we understand each other and I love being part of your family thank you for your talent and for sharing it with all of us. My blog is under construction lots of fun new ideas ahead I hope you enjoy the new look. I know my pictures are jumbled I think it adds character 
but those around me well it drives them crazy. So that will be fixed. Wanted to share a couple of decor items we used last night…A 4 foot Mistletoe Ball dipping down in the center of our Holiday Tent….This is a sure way to get a kiss
One of my favorite design elements of the season is this acrylic table that I have used this year at several different occasions…for the holiday we filled the inside of the table with a variety of red toned holiday ornaments. This is my favorite of all….I wish you HEALTH, HAPPINESS, MANY CELEBRATIONS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. XOXOX MINDY
"Sweet" Holiday Treats
Hi Friends
At one of our holiday parties this past week I worked along with our caterer to display our holiday desserts with fun Xmas spirit. I went around town since this was a last minute party, and bought up cute items wherever I could. Brent from “The Kitchen ” out did me with all his beautiful additions to our dessert buffet. The vintage Santa’s look like chocolate but aha…great prop these won’t melt. Gorgeous I loved them!
Anything that moves like the Xmas tree that has the train going around adds whimsy and fun conversation…I love the miniature Xmas trees that Brent brought and LOVE the wood sliver platters that we displayed the goodies on! Happy Holidays Friends thank you for all your support! Get ready for another “Most Ridiculous Wedding Event Ever” in 2010 can’t wait. xoxox Mindy
