More Flea Market Finds

Flea Market

Love my Sundays. I do however do not feel it is a Sunday if I don’t find a flea market to venture through. So everytime I can get up and get out there I will report back my findings…Also any day now (I will let you know) I will be selling some of my finds on my wed store…now I usually have a hard time letting go of my goodies but I don’t want those of you who like to sleep in on Sundays to miss out on the treasures!

Burlap is huge, in tablecloths, floral containers and now furniture…I shot a picture of this because I love the look for a party! I didn’t buy it…but I will make a furniture grouping for a fabulous “green” inspired event.

Look at those cute small pillows…so easy to make for a favor or couch pillow grouping or baby gift or shower gift or project at a ladies luncheon or….. ? Looks like they took 2 pieces of burlaps about a 7×7. Stenciled the letter on (it was only on 1 side but why not do both?) in black paint then hand stitched it  in chocolate brown yarn shut (and it felt like foam filling inside). You can spray stencil in holiday colors for a great Xmas secret Santa gift or for Hanukkah too. It would be cute to spell out Merry Christmas laying on a couch…or don’t make a pillow just use the one burlap side and hang from a clothesline and attach with wooden clothespins signs like Ho Ho Ho or Naughty? or Nice?…

The few items I did buy were these seashell flowers…I love them. The seller only had 4, and she said she had them for a long time. When I got home I placed them in a cut crystal vase and they looked divine. My son said “Mom why do you buy things like that?” well I answered, ”they just make me feel happy”. He looked at me and said “well a new ipod will make me feel happy too! :) I said well if I bought you a new ipod then I couldn’t buy something else for me next week. “Ha Ha” he said,  just looked at me and rolled his eyes…

I was on a hunt for Vintage Christmas items. I have a client who wants me to decorate her living room with just vintage pieces…Now for a Jewish gal this is a dream come true! Shopping for Xmas has always been a fantasy of mine let alone a vintage Xmas…so I just started and found some of these treats…The dishes date back to the 50’s and we are going to mix them with solid colors and hopefully another set if I’m lucky next week.

Enjoy the pics xox Mindy

Thank you so much for sharing your finds. I love flea markets and unfortunately there really aren’t many where I live. Love the chair and the pillows…love almost anything vintage. I look forward to future posts and happy hunting!!!
