Hello…I helped my client plan a nice dinner at her beach house in Malibu. There is nothing better than setting up a party by the sea. I get lost in the waves crashing on the rocks…of course worrying that the water might get the guests wet…but that hasn’t happened!
I bought in some blue glass for the table and Mark from Mark’s Garden found some blue and white sea glass to incorporate in the glass vases. Glass is lovely by the sea because it allows light to flow in and reflects the calmness of the surroundings. I like how the flowers just lay on their sides. Not only does it allow for sight clearance but the flowers look relaxed like the atmosphere around the house. I mixed in fruit-wood accents for the chargers and used classic riedel glasses and placemats instead of a tablecloth. Nice to get away from the typical seashells on the table for a change.
Enjoy the pictures!

Entertaining by the Sea
Made by the Maid
Hi Friends… I coordinated a wedding last night. It was lovely. The best part was how wonderful the family was. Kind, appreciative, and actually took all the memorable moments inside and stored them for a lifetime. I wanted to first share with you these wonderful bridesmaid dresses. The Maid of Honor Joanna August has just begun a bridesmaid dress design studio. I really loved the style, color and fit of these dresses. There will be more styles and info to come but you can reach Joanna at 323-465-6643

Sweet Tooth
Hi friends! Just thinking about sweet things because I’m dieting and I’m craving dessert. It made me remember when I was young that I use to love popping a sugar cube in my mouth at restaurants. In those days you didn’t have packets of sweeteners. (Oy I sound like my dad) I had to sneak them because my mom said that after awhile they would rot my teeth. Anyways I designed a party where the smallest details were just as important as the huge ones. Sugar cubes were a major discussion and decision. We sampled many and I think my mom was right because I’ve had a tooth ache ever since
They look so beautiful served with coffee or tea. And a wonderful party favor for a tea, or luncheon and great housewarming and hostess gift. Look how cute the dog ones are, I want to send pictures of my 2 right now…but I’m afraid I would eat them nightly! These wonderful cubes can be found at www.sugarcubes.ca… enjoy

3 legged Dog needs home….
I read this and had to post it!
Help Us Adopt 3-Legged Dog Given Up Because Of Baby
Wow, it doesn’t get much more heartless than this, a loyal family pet given up because the owners may be adopting a baby and don’t want to bother with her.
Beautiful Mia only has a few days left before being put down, she’s located in the Atlanta, GA. area.
Meet Mia—GREAT dog, needs great owners
Mia is a beautiful, three-legged dog whose owners have decided to get rid of her because they may be adopting children soon! She isn’t used to children, so she has snapped at a few young, rowdy children that have come to the house.I used to have a three-legged dog who snapped at children too, so I taught my toddler daughter to leave her alone, and I crated her when necessary. Maia’s owners aren’t willing to do that. They have her boarded at Dearborn Animal Clinic, and she has been in a cage/run there for almost two months without any visitors!
They are going to have her euthanized in a week if no one adopts her, and they haven’t really tried to find a home for her!
The owners say she’d do best in a home without children or other dogs, but I think she’d do fine with older, calmer children and submissive dogs, since three-legged dogs are often insecure and feel threatened by more dominant dogs.
If you can take or foster this baby, please call me on my cell at 678-469-8675 (my pet sitting cell number) or email me .
Thank you,
Karen

A Beautiful way to find your seat!
Hi Friends! Ever set a table and there is NO room for a place card. I was scanning through Etsy (one of my favorites) and I found these darling handmade ( and done quite well I must say) place cards. They are whimsical, unique and I love them placed on the glass for a change! They are priced VERY well. Go to Timeless paper.com.
Or go to Etsy.com and shop under handmade. Enjoy the pictures! xox Mindy
