The Girls that Lunch

dsc01800.JPG

I love Bridal Luncheons! It doesn’t matter what the theme or colors are a luncheon is typically small, intimate and hopefully full of laughter. I helped plan a bridal party luncheon the day before the wedding which was feminine, fun and flower-y.  My good friend Ellen at Lehr and Black (www.lehrandblack.com) made these darling bridal placecards. The guests name was printed under the tuile of the dress. We made a small bouquets for each guests and then they used them at the wedding rehearsal to carry down the aisle. Now I know that this can be a chunk out of the budget to have floral bouquets for rehearsal, but what a fun project to makes for your bridesmaids. Maybe out of feathers or ribbons or just tuile.

This bride loves shoes so our friends at Lee Gelfond Chocolate (www.gelfondchocolate.com)  made miniature chocolate heels all a little different. The girls at Lee Gelfond do amazing things out of chocolate, check out their site for inspiration!

dsc01787.JPGdsc01786.JPG

Well still in the Big Apple packing up. The New York Stationery Show was great. My New Stationery Line with The Inviting Company was a HIT! yeah…I will post the new designs for all to see… but here are a few items that you will see soon on my e-store just a sample.

The paper peel-back frames above are so darling! They come as a variety in a one package. You get all these chic black frames which stick to the wall, frig, or just about anywhere (perfect for a dorm room!) They peel on and right off with no damage. Your picture sticks right to the frame and just like that you have a unique wall of art! So cool…

Calling all Callas

koral-callas-015.jpgkoral-callas-017.jpgkoral-callas-016.jpg

Hi, sometimes we have a bride or groom who have visions of a design in their head. They ask us to take their visions and make it reality. One couple wanted me to design Calla Lily lighting fixtures. Their drawing (on a little torn piece of paper) of what they would like, took me days to envision. Working together with my florist and lighting designer we came up with Calla Lily Chandeliers. (Remember if you are trying this yourself, it is important to find bulbs that do not give off a lot of heat or they will burn your flowers.) Enjoy they loved them….off to the New york Stationery Show…I’m going to be there on Monday in the Inviting Company Booth introducing 100 more designs of wedding and entertaining invites and paper goods….very excited…I will also try to find some new items and finds to post on the blog. xoxox Mindy

PS…I can’t figure out how to make my pictures larger on the blog but if you click on them they are easier to see.
