I was so lucky to be on KTLA news this morning. I wanted to share some of the tips we created for the show. The segment was about x-mas and new year entertaining on a budget. I’m a big fan of being “Home for the Holidays” so we designed a party in my kitchen. Hey everyone ends up there anyways right? The next few blogs will be about our fun set-up and hopefully can give you some ideas for your holiday celebrations. One of my very talented event coordinators from my office, Amy helped design the food and decor set-up she did a great job! Thanks Amy! The picture here is a simple example of a fun hanging treatment from your light fixtures, x-mas trees, door knobs…all we did was print out on card stock different fonts of the number 9
(for 2009) Thanks to my friend Ellen who spray glued and glittered them not only in silver but black and white glitter too. We used platnium ribbon to hang the 9’s, but I think they would look so great either in different colored ribbons or any ribbon that follows the theme of your holiday decorations. Love simple stuff…I Love Martha but just can’t perfect the difficult projects….Let’s Party this Hoilday to the NINES! Mindy
