My “CUPS” Runneth Over!
A Great Giveaway from Starbucks Via Iced Coffee
Hi Friends!
I’ve partnered with Starbucks to get the word out about Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee, a convenient and easy way to make iced coffee at home or on the go. I have stuffed my purses with packets because I have been traveling like crazy! Lightly sweetened with cane sugar, Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew Iced Coffee dissolves quickly in cold water and does not require special brewing equipment or waiting for coffee to cool. I was recently on a flight that only offered water so my packed packets came in handy!
Let me know your favorite place to drink iced coffee by August 15, 2010 and the good people of Starbucks will send a couple lucky winners Starbucks VIA Iced Coffee and I will send a signed Wedding Book “The Big Book for your Big Day” to read while sipping on your Via Iced Coffee!
Below are my 2 favorite recipes from Starbucks. These are made with the traditional Starbucks VIA not the Iced Coffee… Try them …Delish! I’m already experimenting with the NEW Starbucks Via Iced Coffee. If you have any new recipes send please!

Horchata
Ingredients:
1 cup long-grain white rice
2 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
2 packets Starbucks VIA®
2 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon zest of an orange
Directions:
Soak the rice in the water for a minimum of one hour. (Overnight works as well.) Mix rice, soaking water, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar and coffee in a blender for two minutes. Strain into a pitcher and add milk. Chill completely (overnight is fine). When ready to serve, pour the mixture into a serving pitcher leaving the sediment behind. Stir in orange zest.
Try this recipe for a new twist on a coffee drink. It is popular in both Spain and Thailand.

The Wedding of Julie and Paul
Hi Friends,
I simply love this wedding! The Resort at Pelican Hill is truly a beautiful location. The ocean, amazing chefs, luxurious rooms, the best Bridal Suite I’ve seen, EVERYONE who works there is superb, but the one thing that Pelican Hills has that no one else has is GEORGE NICKELS! We just love him! As the head of Weddings he truly made our job so uncomplicated and breezy. To all my fellow event planners if you have an opportunity to visit this resort ask for George…there is no way you wouldn’t have a successful event…ok now on to Julie and Paul”s Wedding! There were so many elements that I loved about this wedding. Mark’s Garden designed incredible florals. Revelry helped design many elements for the various areas…The ceremony in creams and whites. Three different chair covers, LOVE the crystal lamps propped on acrylic bases that were interspersed between the aisle and the chairs. Julie our bride, was very involved and gave us a picture of inspiration for the aisle…I love the aisle…the reception was all red and black. Handmaid Magnolia Trees, 2 long rectangular tables each set for 35. mixture of covered chairs and ghost chairs. Two beautiful chair covers for the Bride and Groom…After dinner a fabulous black and white after party. DJ Tendaji rocked the music and everyone danced for 2 hours straight! Cigar Roller and color coordinated candy shoppe made the late night fun. The room was full of love … what a wonderful beginning to a fabulous life together! Enjoy the pics! xoxox Mindy

Lehr and Black designed the invites and all the fun printed items…

This is what the magnolia tree looks like before all the branches are actually stapled on

The Bride’s Shoes and her Daughters shoes! How cute!

When we showed Julie choices for ceremony chair covers I asked her which one she liked. She had the best answer ever….she said “Can I have them all? The perfect answer!

Champagne Crystals mixed in with the fabric. When the sun hit it is sparkled ever so slightly
I almost didn’t want the Wedding Party to walk on the aisle. I just wanted to stare at it forever…something magical about this aisle…

This chaircover so pretty under the evening sky.

The cake was stunning sitting on the handmade floral tablecloth.
The pastry chef at the resort did an outstanding job on copying Julie’s inspiration drawing she gave them.
The cake topper was handmade by the Bride herself!

Anthropologie INSPIRATION
Hi Friends!
If you didn’t already know, I’m obsessed with Anthropologie! Not only their clothes but I can walk in weekly and get inspiration from their displays, gift items and store windows. I make it a point to visit any and all of their stores wherever I am…each store has a different design team so you never see the same exact design in their stores! I would love to work with one of their designers one day to help brainstorm about some of the designs that are installed in their stores. When I was in New York a few weeks ago I stopped in one of their stores. I loved the stanchions with the fabric rags tied at the top. I would love to see these down a wedding aisle! And look at these darling dish towels, perfect for a shower gift. Enjoy xoxox Mindy
